Integrated MSc-PhD Program 2025 Admissions

The Kerala School of Mathematics (KSoM) invites applications for its prestigious Integrated MSc-PhD Program for the academic year 2025. This rigorous program is meticulously designed for highly motivated students aspiring to pursue advanced studies and cutting-edge research in various fundamental and applied branches of mathematics.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum Qualification: Candidates must hold a B.Sc., B.Math., B.Stat. or an equivalent degree with Mathematics as one of the subjects, OR a B.E./B.Tech. or an equivalent degree.
  • Intake: A maximum of 12 students will be selected for admission into the program annually.

Selection Process

Admission to the Integrated MSc-PhD program at KSoM follows a comprehensive two-tier selection process:

  1. Initial Screening Examination

    Candidates are required to qualify through an initial screening from any one of the following national-level examinations:

    • KSoM Written Examination: Conducted directly by the Kerala School of Mathematics. (Scheduled on May 18, 2025)
    • CMI MSc Program Examination: The national level examination conducted by the Chennai Mathematical Institute for their MSc program. (Scheduled on May 24, 2025)
    • NBHM Masters’/Doctoral Scholarship Scheme Written Examination: (Conducted on January 25, 2025)

  2. Final Selection Test/Interview at KSoM

    Candidates who are successfully shortlisted through one of the aforementioned examinations will be invited for an in-person (offline) interview and/or written test at the Kerala School of Mathematics. The final selection will be based on performance in this stage.

Application Fee

A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500/- is applicable for all candidates. A reduced fee of Rs. 300/- is offered to candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.

  • Application Portal Open: The application portal for the KSoM written examination is currently open.
  • Last Date to Apply: April 15, 2025

  • NBHM Masters’/Doctoral Scholarship Test: This examination was conducted on January 25, 2025. For further details, please visit the official NBHM website: www.imsc.res.in/~nbhm/.
  • CMI Admissions 2025-26: Applications for CMI admissions opened on March 03, 2025. For complete details, refer to the CMI website: www.cmi.ac.in/admissions/.

  • Centre Change Requests: Applicants who wish to change their examination centres must submit their request via email to admissions@ksom.res.in, quoting their application ID, by April 15, 2025.
