Prof. N. S. Narasimha Sastry is a Visiting Professor at the Kerala School of Mathematics whose research is at the intersection of combinatorics, incidence geometry, and algebra. He has made fundamental contributions to the theory of buildings, generalized quadrangles, and finite geometries—structures that underpin many aspects of modern coding theory and group theory.

His work explores the symmetries of geometries through the lens of classical groups, representation theory, and characterizations of ovoids and spreads in finite projective spaces. These investigations have natural connections to algebraic coding theory, especially in the construction and analysis of linear codes associated with geometric and group-theoretic data. He has also studied the influence of automorphism groups and non-abelian group representations in geometric configurations arising from classical and exceptional types.
