Prof. A. J. Jayanthan is a Visiting Professor at the Kerala School of Mathematics. His research is in the field of general topology, where he has made contributions to the understanding of topological joins, metrizability conditions, and structural invariants of spaces.
His work includes results on when quotients of topological spaces retain metrizability, properties of topologies homeomorphic to the rationals, and analysis of derived length and connectedness properties. His research combines classical point-set topology with subtle structural and categorical insights into topological behavior under quotient maps and joins.
